sir my name is shahid ali sheraz I am doing mechanical engineering in drawing i do not understand these points,line and planes i am so much worried about drawing can you help how should i take lead on drawing because i have been studying engineering for more then two months but i cannot understand the drawing plz help me from the start. thanx

Dear students follow the above link to have some idea about points and lines.

However the main reason behind your lack of understanding lies in the interest you’ve on this subject.

Just come out of the mental block that the subject is difficult to understand.

Please remember it is some thing like acquiring skills like bicycle riding, singing and dance.

It calls for the fundamentals to be followed strictly, once you’re familiar with it you can really explore your inner potential on it.

Like once you know how to ride the bicycle you’ll find you can ride it on your hands off from the handle bar.

Projections of points.

If you are an Umpire, cricket pitch as a I quadrant Pitch is HP and the Stumps are VP

Projections on pitch is Top view and

Projections on stumps Front view

Quite simple isn’t it!!!

Just think of bouncing the ball on the ceiling

 

 

This is third quadrant

Again projections on the HP is Top view

And Projections on the VP is Front view.

  16. if the axis is inclined to hp and parallel to vp
    a right circular cylinder is resting on hp on one of its points of circumference of circle. such that the slant edge constituted by that point
    is perpendicular to vp

  17. i have doubts on projection of solids when the axis inclined to hp and parallel to vp
    a rightcircular cone is rested on its point on circumference of circle on hp
    such that the slant edge constituted by that point is perpendicular to vp.
